Am Freitag 18. März 2005 nimmt
Ferrocentral den Personenverkehr
zwischen Buenos Aires Retiro und Córdoba
auf!
Nach vielen Jahren der Versprechungen
und verschiedenen Anläufen gelang es endlich diese Verbindung zu reaktivieren.
Mit den Städten Buenos Aires, Rosario und Córdoba verbindet
dieser Zug die drei wichtigsten Städte Argentiniens und hat deshalb
auch politisch eine grosse Bedeutung.
Seit Beendigung des Betriebes durch Ferrocarriles
Argentinos 1993 versuchte die Provinz Córdoba mehrfach vergeblich
die Verbindung zu reaktivieren. Auch die provinzeigene Bahngesellschaft
Ferrocarriles Mediterraneos (FeMed) vermochte die Verbindung nicht aufzunehmen,
obwohl sie über das notwendige Rollmaterial verfügte und sogar
einmal Versuchsfahrten unternahm. Einmal lag es an der heruntergekommenen
Infrastruktur, dann wieder an politischen oder wirtschaftlichen Hindernissen.
FeMed nahm zwar einen Nahverkehr zwischen Córdoba und Villa Maria
auf, doch weiter kam sie nicht und es kam zur Beendigung der Betriebskonzession.
Ferrocentral wurde auf Druck der Bundesregierung
Argentiniens gegründet und umfasst Nuevo Central Argentino (NCA) und
Ferrovías. NCA betreibt den Güterverkehr und ist zuständig
für die Infrastruktur auf den Breitspurstrecken der ehemaligen Mitre
Division, so auch auf der Strecke nach Córdoba. Ferrovías
betreibt die meterspurige S-Bahn Strecke Buenos Aires - Villa Rosa. Sofort
nach deren Gründung übernahm Ferrocentral die Verbindung Córdoba
- Villa Maria, mit zwei wöchentlichen Zügen.
Am 18.03.2005 findet die offizielle Eröffnungsfahrt
von Buenos Aires nach Córdoba statt und ab Montag 21.03.2005 wird
der Zug "Rayo de Sol" zweimal jede Woche in jeder Richtung die rund 700
km lange Strecke bedienen. Fahrpläne werden sobald verfügbar

erscheinen. Wahrscheinlich wird Ferrocentral noch 2005 auch den Zug zwischen
Buenos Aires und Tucumán in Betrieb nehmen.

Ferrocentral introduces Passenger train
services between
Buenos Aires Retiro and Córdoba
from Friday March 18, 2005!
After many years of promises and some
trials this service will now become a reality. Connecting Buenos Aires,
Rosario and Córdoba this train will connect the three most important
cities of Argentina.
Since the end of services in 1993 when
Argentine Railways were shut down Córdoba province tried several
times to reactivate this train. The province-owned company FeMed (Ferrocarriles
Mediterraneos) had some rolling stock ready and ran trials to Buenos Aires,
but failed to run the train regularly. First the infrastructure was not
ready, then political or economical circumstances avoided running this
train. Finally FeMed put a local service between Córdoba and Villa
Maria on the tracks. But FeMed’s concession expired without ever reaching
Buenos Aires.
Under pressure of the federal government
Ferrocentral was created. It is a company formed of Nuevo Central Argentina,
freight operator and responsible for the infrastructure of former Mitre
lines, to which the line to Córdoba belongs and Ferrovías,
a metre gauge suburban railway which operates between Buenos Aires and
Villa Rosa. Ferrocentral reinstated a local passenger train twice weekly
between Córdoba and Villa Maria.
March 18, 2005 the official inaugural
train will run from Buenos Aires to Córdoba, scheduled services
will begin Monday March 21, 2005 with two trains every week in each direction
over this about 700 km long line. As soon as available you can find times

Later in 2005 Ferrocentral may probably also introduce a Buenos Aires -
Tucumán service.

Ferrocentral reanuda servicio de trenes
de pasajeros entre
Buenos Aires Retiro y Córdoba

Después de años de promesas,
esperanzas y pruebas el tren arrancará definitivamente. El corredor
entre la Capital Federal, Rosario y Córdoba comprende las tres ciudades
más importantes de Argentina.
Desde los fines de los servicios de trenes
por Ferrocarriles Argentinos en 1993, la provincia de Córdoba buscaba
varias veces la reanudación de este servicio, pero sin éxito.
La companía ferroviaria provincial, Ferrocarriles Mediterraneos
(FeMed) hubo lista material rodante y corrió algunos trenes de prueba
a Capital Federal, pero no resulto en servicios regulares. Una vez la infraestructura
no fue lista, la otra vez circunstancias politicas u economicas impiden
el servicio. FeMed llegaba a correr un tren local entre Córdoba
y Villa Maria hasta qué la concesión se terminó.
Con el apoyo del gobierno federal argentino
la empresa Ferrocentral fue creada. Ferrocentral es un consorcio de Nuevo
Central Argentino, el operador de los trenes de carga y responsable para
la infraestructura de los ramales del antiguo Ferrocarril Mitre, del cual
el ramal a Córdoba fue una parte y Ferrovías, operador de
trenes suburbanos entre Buenos Aires Retiro y Villa Rosa sobre línea
a trocha métrica. Ferrocentral reanudó el servicio local
entre Córdoba y Villa Maria dos veces por semana.
El 18 de marzo de 2005 el tren inaugural
correrá de Buenos Aires Retiro a Córdoba y desde Lunes el
21 de Marzo de 2005 comienzará el servicio regular con dos salidas
semanales en cada sentido en este ramal de alrededor de 700 km. Cuando
serán disponíbles los horarios serán publicados en
el internet en la pagina http://www.fahrplancenter.com/AIFFLAArgentinien303.html.
Más tarde en 2005 Ferrocentral reanudará posiblemente también
el servicio entre la Capital Federal y Tucumán.
